The Armscor Dockyard is offering a two-year employment contract for engineering/scientific/ financially qualified candidates under its Talent Development Programme. This programme aims to provide in-service training to develop new graduates and an opportunity for the successful applicant to be permanently appointed after the two-year training period, should the competency level required be reached and an applicable vacancy becomes available. Positions in the following disciplines are available:

  • Analytical Chemist-in-Training (Ref. DY12/12/11):
    The candidate will perform analytical work on samples, Gas Free Certification on ships/submarines and shore establishments, and Vibration Analysis. The candidate will also do project work in the area of analytical chemistry and the detection of hazardous chemicals.
  • Mechanical and Metallurgcal Engineers-in-Training (Ref. DY12/12/12):
    The successful candidates will perform Corrosion/Metallurgy and Non-destructive  Testing on ships/submarines. They will also undertake project-related work.
  • Electrical and Industrial Engineers-in-Training (Ref. DY12/12/13):
    The candidate will perform tasks in the Electrical and Industrial-related engineering workshops and other Dockyards facilities.
  • Financial Accounting Officer-in-Training (Ref. DY12/12/14):
    The candidate will perform financial and management accounting tasks.

Requirements: ♦ Applicable Degree. ♦ No experience is needed. Applications must be accompanied by a CV with authenticated final year results.
