City of uMhlathuze hereby invites applications from suitably qualified graduates for the Graduate Trainee Programme.

This training programme is aimed at providing workplace exposure and experience through skills transfer in the field of Engineering, Planning, Science and Project Management. Successful candidates will be involved in different projects/programmes within their areas of expertise, under the guidance of a mentor with industry level experience.

Qualified/unemployed graduates in possession of the 3/4 year qualification in the fields listed below are invited to apply:

Engineers:

3x BSc Eng/BEng Electrical Engineering Completed Degree; 3x BSc Eng/BEng Mechanical Engineering Completed Degree; 3x BSc Eng/BEng Civil Engineering Completed Degree.

Salary: R182 000.00 per annum

  • Each graduate will be registered as a candidate engineer with ECSA
  • Ensure before you apply that your degree is an accredited qualification for such registration
  • You will be required to follow an ECSA Program a period of three years until you are eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in your respective field of specialisation
  • You will be allocated a Mentor who is a Pr ofessional Engineer
  • You will be allocated an applicable Personal Computer (Laptop).

Project Management:

1x BSc Quantity Survey; 1x BSc Architect; 1x BSc Construction.

Salary: R130 000.00 per annum

  • Each graduate will be registered as a candidate Construction Project Manager with SAACPM
  • Ensure before you apply that your degree is an accredited qualification for such registration
  • You will be required to follow an SAACPM Program a period of three years until you are eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in your respective field of specialisation
  • You will be allocated a Mentor who is a Pr ofessional Construction Project Manager
  • You will be allocated an applicable Personal Computer (Laptop).

Scientists:

1x BScHons Microbiology; 1x BScHons Chemistry.

Salary: R130 000.00 per annum

  • Each graduate will be registered as a candidate natural scientist
  • Ensure before you apply that your degree is an accredited qualification for such registration
  • You will be required to follow a SACNASP Program for a period of three years until you are eligible to be registered as a Professional Natural Scientist in your respective field of specialisation
  • You will be allocated a Mentor who is a Professional Natural Scientist
  • You will be allocated an applicable Personal Computer (Laptop).

Environmental Planning:

1x BScHons Environmental Science.

Salary: R104 000.00 per annum

  • Each graduate will be registered as a candidate natural scientist
  • Ensure before you apply that your degree is an accredited qualification for such registration
  • You will be required to follow a SACNASP Program for a period of three years until you are eligible to be registered as a Professional Natural Scientist (Environmental) in your respective field of specialisation
  • You will be allocated a Mentor who is a Pr ofessional Natural Scientist
  • You will be allocated an applicable Personal Computer (Laptop).

Computer Sciences:

1x BSc Computer Science.

Salary: R104 000.00 per annum

  • Each graduate will be registered as a trainee IT engineer with r elevant authority
  • Ensure before you apply that your degree is an accredited qualification for such registration
  • You will be required to follow a Stuctured Program for a period of two years until you are eligible to be
  • registered as a Qualified IT Engineer
  • You will be allocated a Mentor who is an IT Specialist
  • You will be allocated an applicable Personal Computer (Laptop).

Town Planning:

1x MSc/MTRP (Town & Regional Planning).

Salary: R104 000.00 per annum

  • You will be required to be registered as a Student Town Planner with SACPLAN
  • Ensure before you apply that your degree is an accredited qualification for such registration
  • You will be required to follow a SACPLAN Program for a period of two years until you are eligible to be registered as a Professional Town Planner in your respective field of specialisation
