●A Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate (or equivalent qualification) plus one (1) year relevant experience in a similar or appropriate position and/or environment ●Knowledge of document tracking, storage
and retrieval, as well as filing systems ●Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to communicate at all levels ●Good interpersonal, analytical, planning and organisational skills ●Ability to
interpret directives ●Computer literacy and typing skills ●Knowledge of provisioning administration prescripts ●Telephone etiquette ●Experience in using computer applications, including knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) ●An understanding of the education system and its policy framework is essential ●Understanding of basic Government policies with regard to financial management.
●Handle internal and external queries and follow up on queries that have been referred to branches within the Department and provide feedback to clients ●Assist in analysing monthly reports for the Call Centre and assist in the preparation of reports and submissions to management ●Assist with control of monthly expenditure reports and other relevant budget matters ●Assist in the preparation of relevant documentation for workshops, meetings, conferences and seminars, including the taking of minutes ●Give guidance and advice to personnel in the Call Centre on the interpretation and application of directives and policies with regard to fi nancial and administrative matters ●Register all submissions, letters, faxes, invitations and memoranda addressed to the Director ●Responsible for the routing of submissions after the Director has signed them off ●Ensure that all signed submissions have copies kept in the registry offi ce and have been properly fi led ●Fax and fi le all letters signed by the Director ●Maintain the Return Date List ●Any other duties delegated to him/her by management.
