The Economic Development Department (EDD) is offering ten (10) internships to promising graduates aged between 18 and 35 years for a period of twelve (12) months. The internships are based in Pretoria. Interns will receive a basic stipend of approximately R3 537 per month.

CONDITIONS: Applicants should:  be unemployed and possess the relevant tertiary qualifications as indicated above ● be South African Citizens ● have no previous work experience including previous internship ● clearly indicate the relevant internship area and reference number of the internship they are interested in, in line with the indicated studies comprising their qualifications. If an applicant qualifies for more than one internship area, he/she may submit separate applications for each area.

Applications must be submitted on form Z83, obtainable from any Public Service Department or on the Internet at www.gov.za/documents. The completed and signed form Z83 should be accompanied by recently updated, comprehensive CV as well as certified copies of all qualification(s) and ID document.

Should you be in possession of a foreign qualification, it must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Applicants who do not comply with the abovementioned requirements, as well as applications received late, will not be considered. Failure to submit all the requested documents will result in the application not being considered. Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only. Successful applicants are required to enter into an internship agreement with the Economic Development Department.
