The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health is seeking to recruit qualiﬁed and ﬁnal year students who have a National Diploma or will be writing their ﬁnal exams for a National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Light Current) and who have an interest in the health sector, within the ﬁeld of Clinical Engineering.
Successful applicants will receive intensive training in medical equipment/health technology management and maintenance. After successfully completing their training they will be able to pursue a career as Clinical Engineering Technicians in the KwaZulu- Natal Department of Health facilities. Successful candidates will sign a service agreement to work for a minimum of 2 years.
The minimum qualiﬁcation requirements would be an N6/National Certiﬁcate in Electrical Engineering (light current) OR Electronics Engineering and computer literacy. B.Tech. qualiﬁcation and experience in maintenance of electronic equipment will be an added advantage
