RESPONSIBILITIES

Capable of completing small projects or portions of large projects with mentorship from a senior engineer (all documentation must be checked and approved by the mentoring engineer).

The above could include depending on project complexity:

  • Inception
  • Kick off meetings
  • Design Concepts, line diagrams, plant area’s
  • Preparation of technical reports
  • Budgets
  • Tender Design
  • Obtaining approval of contractors list, budget,
  • Development of full tender design
  • Detailed heat load calculations
  • Inclusion of tenant requirements (if available)
  • Detailed design
  • Documenting all design calculations
  • Preparation of Tender Document
  • Preparation of Tender Adjudication Report
  • Construction
  • Completion of first fix design
  • Value Engineering
  • Inclusion of specific tenant requirements and costs
  • Second fix design
  • Coordination with other services
  •  Site Supervision, inspections, quality control
  •  Attendance at all professional team meetings
  • Close Out
  • Hand over and commissioning
  • O&M Manuals
  • Client Interface and Marketing
  • Ensuring a ‘happy client’
  • Professional and helpful attitude
  • HVAC and / or Fire Design of retail developments, offices, hotels and resorts
  • HVAC Systems typically include split units, variable refrigeration systems, chilled water installations
  • Fire design typically involves rational fire design in accordance with relevant standards, fire signage and sprinkler design.
