OPPORTUNITY (6 Months)
The National Cleaner Production Centre of SA (NCPC-SA) is the dti’s key industrial sustainability programme tasked with contributing to a competitive green economy and strengthening market access for South African industry. This is done by transferring resource efficiency and cleaner production (RECP) technologies and services to industry,
aimed at achieving measurable economic, environmental and social benefits.
The NCPC-SA’s Internship programme offers students the opportunity to become part of this initiative and programme, and gain valuable in-plant experience by assisting companies in addressing competitive challenges, production weaknesses and skills gaps in the following fields: clothing; textiles; tourism; automotives; pulp and paper; mining; environmental
science; chemicals and engineering.
Western Cape: Agro-proccessing, tourism and clothing industries Ref: 301066
- A three-year national diploma, Bachelor’s, BTech or Honours qualification in agriculture, tourism and clothing.
KwaZulu-Natal: Textile, chemicals and automotive industries Ref: 301067
- A three-year national diploma, Bachelor’s, BTech or Honours qualification in textiles, environmental science and relevant engineering qualification.
Gauteng: Metals, mining, agro-processing and pulp and paper industries Ref: 301065
- A three-year national diploma, Bachelor’s, BTech or Honours qualification in agriculture, geology, environmental science and relevant engineering qualification.
Relocation cost will not be provided.
