  1. Purpose of the Position
    The key purpose of the position is to provide a professional and effective service to all employees and managers and to implement human resources related tasks.
  2. Job Grade
    Occupational Level 4
  3. Reporting Structure
    The Administrator will report to the Human Resources Manager
  4. Key Stakeholders
    They will manage the relationship with the following stakeholders: –

    • All staff and management
    • Medical Aid administrators
    • Provident Fund administrators
    • Various Government bodies (such as Employment Equity, WPS report)
  5. Key Tasks (Inputs)The following tasks are the responsibility and accountability of the : –
    • To ensure effective administration
    • Ensure effective termination practices
    • Effective management of the new, temporary, fixed term contract and transfer processes.
    • Accurate processing of data on the system
    • Accurate and timeous advice on disciplinary procedures
    • Long Service awards
    • Recruitment processes
    • Accurately and effective management of benefits
    • Adhoc Administration
  6. Key Roles and Responsibilities (Outputs)The  position involves distinct roles, namely:
    • Ensure effective administration in that all administration, including but not limited to: filing general correspondence, general staff liaisons/queries, payment of suppliers ad and when required are performed within 48 hours after receipt.
    • Ensure effective termination practices by:
    1. receiving resignation letter signed by the manager,
    2. communicate the information timeously to the salaries/wages administrator,
    3. conduct an exit interview with the resigning employee,
    4. complete an exit interview database and forward to the HR manager monthly by the last working day of the month,
    5. remove the personnel file,
    6. complete a provident withdrawal form and forward it to the relevant administrator,
    7. ensure that there are no outstanding amounts due to the company and if there are to notify the salaries/wage administrator.
    8. Complete any other relevant documentation that may be required

      In keeping with the seniority and role of the position, the minimum required education and experience profile for the incumbent is as follows: –


      • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources
      • Certificate in Labour relations will be an advantage
