Intern: Civil Engineering (One-year contract-based on performance, contract may be extended)

Salary:  R 4000, 00 per annum

Requirements: B Degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering. Computer literacy (MS Office package). Willingness to work long and irregular hours. Team member.

Duties: Coordinate the implementation of iRAP and other road infrastructure projects. Collection and analysis of data and preparation of reports for the Senior Manager. Contributing to the development of iRAP Star Rating, Safer Roads Investment Plan, Risk Mapping and Performance Tracking protocols and specifications. Liaising with project stakeholders throughout South Africa. Assisting in the coordination, facilitation and preparation of iRAP training courses, meetings and workshops.

Competencies: Client Orientation and Customer Focus. Programme and Project Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Service Delivery Innovation, Problem Solving and Analysis & Communication. Stakeholder management, Quality management, Understanding of road traffic management legislation, Understanding of intergovernmental relations, Performance Management, Report writing skills.
