The winter internships offer final year students the chance to spend four weeks working with Standard Bank in a division that interests them. On your internship you’ll gain an insight into our unique culture and the inner workings of the banking industry.
Throughout the 4 weeks, we’ll support you to make sure you get the most from the experience, enjoying exposure in your area of choice as well as across a broad range of areas of Standard Bank. You’ll also be encouraged to network with directors and management, take a tour of our head office and tackle relevant case studies
Venue: Standard Bank Headquarters, Simmonds Street, Johannesburg
Date: 1st July – 13th July 2012
Travel and accommodation: If you need accommodation, we’ll provide it at our Global Leadership Centre in Morningside, Johannesburg. Check in will be on Sunday 1 July by 4pm and checkout will be on Friday 13 July by 2pm. If you live outside the Johannesburg region, we’ll also arrange your travel
How to Apply
There’s no separate application for the Standard Bank Internship, so you’ll need to apply for one of the South African based Standard Bank graduate programmes before 31 May 2012. If you score well in the initial screening phase and telephone interviews we’ll invite you to attend in July. If you’re successful we’ll confirm this by the 15 June 2012.
If we offer you a place on the internship programme, this doesn’t guarantee you a place on one of our graduate programmes. You’ll still need to take part in the final assessment centre before we confirm your place on any full graduate programme
Here are the Standard Bank graduate programmes:
- Standard Bank PBB Graduate Development Programme 2013
- Standard Bank: Group Financial Crime Control 2013
