XEBEC is a leading South African professional services firm that works with local companies to bridge the gap between them and their telecommunications services providers. To support this they have developed a cloud solution, integrated with local service providers, to provide remote management, BYOD (bring your own device) and monitoring capabilities. The Graduate Network Support Technician is responsible for delivering a professional and effective service and needs to ensure that all service requests and incidents are resolved within agreed timeframes, and to the complete satisfaction of the client. Throughout the internship you will most likely be exposed to LAN, WAN, VoIP, PABX and Video Conferencing technologies, and you will be required to provide assistance to the technical team to ensure that overall SLA’s are met. How much you will gain from this experience will greatly depend on your willingness to get involved.
- Grade 12 and CCNA or CCNP certification required (other relevant CISCO / ICT qualification will be beneficial)
- 0 – 2 years’ experience within the telecommunications industry will be highly beneficial.
- Working knowledge of the MS Suite of products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Please note: Preference will be given to South African citizens and to those who already reside in the Western Cape (Cape Town CBD and surrounding areas).
