Purpose of the Job         

Applications are invited for the above contract positions stationed at the Process Evaluation Facility within the Engineering & Scientific Services Division in Durban.

To provide recent graduate engineers with experiential training that will lead to the development of their engineering knowledge into marketable skills. The program will require that the trainee adapts to the engineering work environment and will provide exposure to relevant engineering practices under the mentorship of a senior Process Engineer. The Graduate Engineer is expected to register with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer

Key Responsibilities               

Key Responsibilities: As part of a team, the incumbent will be involved in the provision of Process Engineering support for operations (Potable Water and Waste Water Treatment); Research and Development; Process Trouble-shooting, Process Design; Environmental Engineering.

Minimum Qualification, Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum Requirements: BSc Eng. (Chemical) Proficient in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office
  • Key Behavioral Attributes and Knowledge: We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong theoretical engineering background and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
