The Western Government Says….
Are you in matric or an undergraduate student? Bursaries are available from The Department of Health for studies in the following fields: ● Degree: Medicine ● Degree: Emergency Medical Care ● National Diploma: radiography ● Degree: Physiotherapy ● Degree: Pharmacy
To apply for one of these bursaries you must be: ● A South African citizen wanting to study full-time ● preferably a resident of the Western Cape ● Accepted or awaiting acceptance at the relevant accredited HEI ● Have a June matric result, matric or post matric qualification. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
How to apply: ● Register on the website (www.westerncape.gov.za/healthbursary) ● Complete the online application (Note: Upload all requested documents. Original certified documentation must be submitted with declaration decision should the applicant be successful) OR Download the application (www.westerncape.gov.za) ● Complete all questions on the application form ● Attach requested documentation ● Deliver to the Department of Health.
Certified documents to be submitted: ● RSA 10 document ● Previous academic year’s results or Grade 12 certificate (pupils currently in Grade 12 should please submit results for June 2012) ● Disabled persons should provide proof of disability ● Proof of residence (accounts, rates etc.) ● Proof of parent income or tax certificate● Letter of motivation for bursary addressed to the Bursary Committee.
The Department reserves the right to award bursaries. Please ensure that your application form reaches us by 10 August 2012.
